Santa Arrives by Train

We boarded the same Amtrak Pacific Surfliner as Santa (and his wife) in Grover Beach and arrived to throngs of people on the platform in SLO. Santa went over to the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum to greet all the kids from a "throne" on the La Cuesta. The odd pic shows the progress thus far on our Christmas window at home - getting close. All the pics are here.

Thanksgiving 2016

Braised ribs (Lexi loved 'em), gramma's rolls, 7-layer salad with plenty of dressing, rainbow jello, garlic mashed potatoes, and a turkey (wait for it...). Nothing like cooking with the kids. And we got started on the Christmas window. Very thankful... More pics here.

And then it's gone

Months of work to get to the audition. Months of work from cast members, crew members, production team, etc. And two weekends of a fabulous run. And here we are. It's over. I've been through this enough times now to know that there really is such a thing as post-show blues. And this was a big deal for Annie. The biggest. Things are gonna be a little quiet around the house until the next audition pops up on the horizon.

Below are a few final photos gleaned mostly from Facebook and friends.

Here are previous sets of Annie photos: She gets the roleAt the AG LibraryLoad-InFinal Dress4th Show of the run.

Cousins!

And poof, it was gone.

My favorite moment in the show was when
Daddy Warbucks carried a sleeping Annie
off stage. Here the two wait for their cue.

4th Annie Jr show is done

All of a sudden half the run is over! What a fabulous ride it's been so far! The kids are doing extraordinarily well, and the sell-out crowds are reacting appropriately. Here are some photos from today. The rest of today's photos are here.

Chauffeur and Bodyguard, Uncle Jon

You could count 4 generations in this show,
At least 3 and a half.
