Business Rail Excursion to Portland

Lynn and Jamie returned today from a Santa Maria Valley Railroad business excursion to Portland, Oregon. Great way to travel, and a good way to get people out of the office to do a little bigger picture thinking. All the photos: http://JF2.com/150709/

The Drama in My Life Comes with an Intermission

PCPA's Acting Camp
Young People's Project, YPP Jr. (9-12 years old)
June 28 - July 4, 2015

"If you need drama in your life, make it live theatre."

The YPP and YPP Jr. are week-long acting intensives with classes in music, dance, and workshops that culminate in a showcase performance. The photos below are from the Showcase and the reception that followed.

Such drama. Good thing Matteo's used to it.

See ya next year!

Chad (left) is currently in PCPA's "My Fair Lady".
The group saw the show in Solvang last week, and
some of the actors came to YPP Jr.,
including Chad, for a talk-back session.

Lexi's Dedication at GraceSLO

Lexi was dedicated at the 11am service at GraceSLO this morning. We had just about enough time to follow that with the church photographer, get the two thespians to the closing show of The Music Man, and the rest of the clan prepare for the cast party at The Compound tonight. Big day!

Sharks!

Matteo and I attended a "Science After Dark" session on sharks at the SLO Children's Museum last night. It's a program of http://CCSTEM.org (I help with their website). More photos: http://JF2.com/150610/

AJ's Next Fave

He went from Robot Turtles (fun "coding" game) to Monopoly. Of course, we don't abide by all the rules. He loves moving the pieces around and handling money. I like watching him add up the dice. He's surprisingly good at one-to-one correspondence in moving his piece from square to square.

Gratifying

It's tremendously gratifying to have some of your work (in this case, photos) actually get used for something pretty special. In this case, the advertising materials for the SLO Little Theatre's 2015-2016 season. The SLOLT does a great job with their hundreds of volunteers!
