Day 190

The Sisco clan arrived last night and we met up with them at Garden of the Gods today to scout out locations for the wedding on Monday. The littlest one also got a video phone call in with his grandma. Jamie and Lynn managed to sneak in one Parade Home before joining up with the Siscos. The day closed for Lynn and Jamie with a delightful outdoor "drinks and dinner" time with the Siscos in the backyard of the their downtown digs for the weekend.

Day 189

The dogs are always a little confused in the morning: do I get something to eat, go see what Nana's doing, or AJ, or Matteo, or Papa, go poop, maybe the front door, or the baby?! So many choices, so little time. The Buncha Masks puzzle is complete! Nana and Papa visited three more homes on the Parade of Homes; we now have a new first and second place favorite. Since all three homes today were along County Line Road, we stopped at La Casa Fiesta in Monument for lunch. The twins had soccer practice this evening, and Fina had dance. All might be a little sore in the morning. And Tracy got into planning Halloween costuming 2020. Oh, and the Sisco clan made it to town safe and sound. They're staying in a "mansion" (we're told) downtown on N. Weber.

Day 188

Only a couple photos today, sorry. Nana, Papa, and Matt ended up at the Club for lunch, but not together. Nana was with her book club in the rotunda and the boys were in the Tack Room. Papa took Matteo fishing after school. He got a couple nibbles, but the big excitement was we saw another fisherman's mammoth catch, a 30-inch pike. Very impressive. AJ went to dance class. Nana and Papa's movie for the night: Just Like Heaven.

Day 187

First thing this morning we got the wedding gift quilt top to the quilter for quilting and binding by the weekend, with any luck. Otherwise a pretty normal Tuesday. All the kids are at school. Fina's online studies continue (with some cohorts joining her here at the house). Jamie did the Joseph session of his God is Good course.

Love the new fire pit on a cool night.

And Joseph wept.

Day 186

Golf Tournament! Matt and Jamie headed out about 7am to meet up with a couple other guys from TimberCreek Church to make up our foresome for the Evangelical Christian Academy's 14th Annual Eagle Golf Classic (Matteo's school this year) at Colorado Springs Country Club. It could not have been more fun on a more gorgeous day. It's been about 5 years (or more) since we've played golf. And had a great time! Nana (and Papa a little for the geometry) finished up a wedding gift quilt top which will be off to the quilters first thing in the morning. Jamie scouted out Garden of the Gods for late afternoon wedding sites. "High Point" was his favorite. It's the same spot Tracy arranged for family photos to be taken a couple years ago. Fina finally got back to dance classes tonight following her surgery a couple weeks ago.

He was closest to the pin (at this point)!

Day 185

Besides completing the TP puzzle, the big event of the day was full-up Sunday School at TimberCreek Church! All classes are up and running! And ice cream around. Actually ice cream for the whole church after service, too - rumors spread much faster than the virus. Vaqueros for lunch with the celebratory grande margaritas. Matteo's group met at Wesley Owens Coffee in Monument in the evening, with quite a substantial showing.

The TP puzzle is done!

Day 184

Matt took the kids fishing this morning while Jamie did his Parlor Car Chat on the topic of the Cumbres and Toltec Geology Special that he and Matteo took in June of 2019. The twins had their first soccer game this afternoon. The grin on those boys... Nana and Papa took AJ on a library and Barnes and Noble run followed by Mod Pizza for dinner.
