Back to School

DCC Elementary and Middle School started today! So off we went on our traditional morning walk (that continues for some of us much of the year when the weather allows).

Mini-Golf

It was a back-to-school promise: yes, we can get another mini-golf session in before school starts. Surprisingly, this would be only our second mini-golf outing all summer. I really thought we'd be doing one every other week, at least. I guess to make up for the infrequency, we stumbled (literally) onto a course we had not been to before (in the process of trying to get to one we had been to before!). Gold Mine Mini Golf. What a hoot! We did courses 1 and 3. Suited this rock guy just fine! The boys thought it was the best ever, and the best hole ever was the one with a conveyor belt for your ball.

Till South and Other Milestones

Nana and Papa visited Till South for the first time. You may recall just plain Till was a favorite of ours up north here until it got revamped into something else. Sad. But, it turns out the same folks did open, as promised, a more Till-like restaurant downtown called Till South. Very much in keeping with the old Till's unique and very tasty offerings. Lexi still waters the outdoor potted plants. She and David have been attending Eagle Lake Camp at the Club; with big grins and just enough "cash" in their account to get a snack or two. And lastly, our littlest foster child has hung up his helmet, its job is done.

Chinchillas!

First and foremost, the weekend was preparations for and receipt of two new family members. Two chinchillas to be exact.

Catching Up

It's been a while since the last post, and much has happened. Fosters got home safe and sound to an empty house. The Reguscis were up at the Gaylord all week with friends from California, got back yesterday evening.

Fosters came home to a plumbing issue. Thanks Roto-Rooter!
