Pumpkins and Movie Night

Big day, starting with the Colorado Pumpkin Patch, north of us by about 10 minutes in Monument, CO. What a hoot! All the pics are here. We closed the day all huddled in the theater room with loads of popcorn and candy to watch The Addams Family 2, Vacation.

That's Entertainment

Following Tri-M Honor Society's first "Open Mic" show (and a very busy week), the fam had a movie night at home! Addams Family II.

Tracy: "Fina was amazing at her Tri-M Honor Society’s first open mic night! Not a dry eye after she made an opening speech about how each person in the room helped carry each other through the last crazy year!! Loved seeing her and all her friends performing!"

Library Cookbooks

Lexi's gotten into checking out cookbooks from the school library. So... She and Nana have to make some of the recipes. Pictured here is a smoothie with chocolate and sprinkle decoration. Below is a fruit sculpture. Also below is the Christmas gift a foster kid picked out. I don't think so... Well, maybe.

DCC Homecoming 2021

It was a big day... Homecoming! The 17-member "gang" met up at Zoe's early in the day to get ready, photos at the nearby pond around 4:30pm, dinner at our house around 5:30pm, the dance at school about 7pm, back at our house to party after the dance, and eventually everyone got to sleep after the boys left in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Halloween's Comin' On

By some miracle, Lexi actually got a pumpkin from her "sprout in a cup" that she brought home on the last day of Kindergarten last May. All the while, Halloween costume parts have been arriving. Can you guess the theme?...

Carnival Week at DCC

The week leading up to Homecoming is Carnival Week at DCC. Lots of fun! For Lexi, the week also included some baking with Nana.
