Snowy Saturday Part II

Later on Saturday...

I think she said 10 inches.

Moving water doesn't freeze.

Topic selection board for Friday dinners...

Graduation Weekend

Many of Fina's Besties graduated this week. Ethan is receiving his diploma on the monitor in the first pic. A few other things to note these last few days - see below... Plus, Fina and AJ went to callbacks last night for DCC High School's production of Oliver. We'll see...

Lynn and Jamie tried 3 Margaritas for the first time.
We'll be back. We've been passing by and saying we
must try for years. It's along 105 in Monument.

And a return to a fave: Sushi Ato.

It started snowing last night...

Our first official Friday Family Dinner, or Shabbat
as Jamie likes to call it. Tonight's topic: Gratitude.
Grilled Cheese Please, potato salad, fruit salad,
and everyone's favorite - Fat Boy ice cream sandwiches.
And a Rodney Strong "Brothers".

This morning, pushing a foot of snow.

Total Lunar Eclipse

We had a little front yard Lunar Eclipse party tonight. The moon show was only slightly better than watching the kids play around rolled up in blankets and riding kid toys. The nice moon photo was taken with a cellphone looking into a little tabletop 30x telescope; whodathought. Tracy added the Stargazer Playlist to the party environment.

Just getting started.

Birthday Celebration Continues with local Guests and from California

Griffen's party continued with some basketball and birthday cake. And with Matt and Janice in from California, the wine tasting, burger smashing, and enchilada making were in full force.

But wait... TWO awards for Matteo!

A vertical tasting!

Some senior graduation stuff going to, too.

Concerts and Rockets

What could make for more fun at the end of the school year than concerts and rockets!? First up was Fina in Show Choir. Then came AJ in 6th Grade Choir, and then AJ again with a water-under-pressure launched rocket system that he and a partner built at school.

Mothers Day 2022

While Lynn and Jamie were in Cocoa Beach, FL today enjoying the sun and sand, Tracy and grandkids Jonathan, David, and Serafina were at The Simple Church in Bossier City, LA (Shreveport area). Why you may ask! Today is Mothers Day, and that church was doing a very special segment in their Hidden Figures series about motherhood. They were interviewing Grace, who we know as the surrogate "Tummy Mom" for our twins, Jonathan and David. Unbeknownst to Grace, the church had flown Tracy and Fina down there with the twins to surprise Grace. And surprise her they did! The video of their service today is here. The interview with Grace begins at 46:30 and Tracy and the gang enter at 1:05:25. It's quite a story for Mothers Day!

The Cocoa Beach gang had a relaxing day swimming in the pool, visiting the beach, and, of course, eating. We watched the Simple Church service on the outdoor TV under the thatched covering. Today's eating establishments were Coconuts on the Beach and the 4th Street Fillin Station with its four pages of ice cream items! All today's photos start here.
