Happy Father's Day

AJ presented this drawing to me on Father's Day. His Dad got one very similar. I wonder what he wants to do? I'm game!

We had a very nice Father's Morning on Saturday when all hands were on the deck, including the Nipomo Fosters.

One picture is of Gretl and her Director, Zach Johnson, for Sound of Music in 2013 at the SLO Repertory Theatre. The other is of an orphan/thief and her Director for Oliver! last night (2017). Wow, what a ride! Same director, same theatre.

Voice and Piano Recital

Serafina and Matteo were both in Lyrics and Melodies' Recital this afternoon. Serafina was sandwiching the recital between Oliver and Into the Woods rehearsals. Matteo was chillin' as only Matteo can.

Fish Gaucho, et al

Lynn, Jamie, Trevor, and Jen got in for lunch at the new Fish Gaucho in Paso Robles. (We had tried with the Underwoods once before on a Friday night - 2-hour wait.) Really fun place. Great food and drink, loved the rustic decor. It's a gotta try.

After lunch, we went out to Daou Winery and just vegged on their patio tasting their wines. Had the real camera with me this time (unlike lunch) but took not one photo (was so relaxed even lifting the camera felt like too much effort). We do have plenty of Daou photos, like here, for instance.

He Beat Me, Again!

Look at that pile of money! He beat me again, but it took him almost 3 hours over a couple days to do it. He had hotels on Boardwalk and Park Place, I had hotels on Vermont, Connecticut, and whatever the 3rd light blue property. The rest of the board was undeveloped.

Lexi is 2!

And her paw is doing fine following its griddle mishap. Remember, she was born at the very moment Amaryllis (Serafina, in Music Man) landed the last note of her "cross hand piece" at the SLO Rep.

90 Years

Guess what we un-earthed on what would have been Papa Bill's 90th birthday (today)... The Lionel train he got on his 1st birthday!

Look who got to go (because Serafina and the rest of the women-folk were wrapped up with Annie)? It's OK, there's another group going in July (assuming Serafina doesn't have another role by then...).

Leapin' lizards, that was fast. Kelrik's production of Annie opened tonight. Seems like rehearsals only started a few weeks ago. Oh wait, they did start just a few weeks ago! Despite all kinds of tech issues, the show was a delight to watch thanks to the performances by the entire cast. Great bunch of people.

Easter 2017

It was a big weekend. Egg Hunt with the cousins on Saturday, then church and baskets with the nuclear family on Sunday. Then there was a sub-set of us later attending the closing show of The Nerd at the SLO Little Theatre and Jonny ending up in the hospital late afternoon for leg and walking issues (the operating theory at the moment is viral or severe vaccine reaction, and will go away). And let's not forget that Matt's business partner, Valmir, and family dropped by Saturday evening for a quick visit while on their west coast vacation trip.
