Ingesting

The school "ingests" the four elementary kids (L-R): Lexi, David, Remi, and Jonny. And Nana and Papa ingest a wonderful lunch at Atmosphere Gastropub with a new Goat Cheese Jar (green, red, white in the jar with crostini) on the menu. And since they are amongst the few places in town with Sazerac Rye, it was Sazeracs around (the cocktail)!

Last Couple Days

I'm not sure how all this happened over the last couple of days...

At a conference!

Cheddar Bay Biscuits, just for fun.

Lexi was very proud of the "poster" she made for Nana.

We've gotten some snow lately. Just a little.

A curious little chinchilla.

The newest member of the fleet. Mini Cooper.

You All OK??

Uncle Rob sent us the greatest meme (see below) after today's KC Chiefs divisional playoff win, in overtime, over the Buffalo Bills. "You all OK???" It was a great game and got to be more and more of a nail-biter as it went on. The last few minutes and the OT were crazy. We had to pull everyone down off the ceiling after KC made the winning touchdown. I'd never seen such an eruption from folks in a living room. During calmer parts of the afternoon, Janice and Fina whipped up some homemade pasta!

Frosted Everything

We had a frost storm overnight. There were some flurries, but mostly it was humidity freezing out of the air onto everything. Beautiful!

Bristlecone Pine, a fave.

Lexi, "time to re-plant."

Cherry Chip Cake

Nana and Lexi baked the cherry chip cake, Tracy's favorite, for this little celebration! I hear the request is chicken piccata for the birthday dinner...

(Valentine's Day is coming...)

Meow Wolf

We celebrated Craig's birthday with a trip to Meow Wolf in Denver. It's a bit like experiencing someone else's acid trip. We had a fun little late lunch at West of Surrender on the 16th St Mall. All the (crazy) photos are here.

Meanwhile, 2022 is Upon Us

Here's a mish-mash of photos from the past week or so. There's a caption for most. Don't miss the memorabilia caption...

Tracy ordered personalized Yeti cups for all of us! We
rarely get such a clear picture of just how many of us there are.

When it's too cold, bike riding with the therapist is inside.

Some significant Lego projects have been completed.

And a puzzle or two.

Patience.

More Lego projects.

We had one of those picturesque ice coverings one night.

About all that's left of Christmas...

Standoff or intense communication?

In the process of remodeling their Nipomo home, the Fosters
found and sent to us a stumbled-upon box of memorabilia.
Oh my goodness... 1992 Disneyland tickets, a rice packet
from Nana and Papa's wedding, nametags from when Papa
was president of the Pismo Chamber and on the Pismo City
Council, Lynn's nametag from when she worked at David
Beatty Stereo, picture buttons, a box of matches from
Cypress Cafe (first food place in our Cypress Landing project),
kids pilot wings from TWA and Braniff, a National
Honor Society pin, and much more. It was quite a trip
down memory lane. Lynn was most excited about a set
of small silver spoons and forks that her grandfather
had collected from overseas.

Nana's paper-piecing quilt is coming along...
