Sam, Nathan, and Chris are in town, so up Pikes Peak we went, by car (the cog railway is closed indefinitely). Close to the entire time it "
graupeled" on the summit. Graupeling is something between snowing and hailing, according to the ranger. I asked if the railway shutdown caused an increase in the road access traffic. The answer was, "not really." I'm thinking the food/retail service at the summit is what's suffering if the railway attendance there is not being replaced by roadway traffic. All the photos are
