Magic Town

What an incredible store/display. Magic Town is a pay-to-go-in (modestly) section of Michael Garman's store in Old Colorado City, a 1/6 scale world to explore. Wow. We thoroughly enjoyed our roughly thirty minutes in there. Matteo and AJ got into it, too, in large part due to the scavenger hunt for the kids ever so cleverly provided by the shop. The kids even wanted to get samples of his work (which they did). All the photos are here.

There were holograms and lighting effects that changed the
look of scenes before your very eyes.

AJ found the price of plums.

And Matteo found the poodle (on the bench).

Valentines Day

It was a big day at school, lots of Valentine wishes shared. And then at home, oh my! Heart-shaped pancakes and ice cream bar! We finished off the evening at Cheap Date Improv, a show put on at Fina's school by the improv team. It was hysterical, and featured our next door neighbor high school friend and sometimes babysitter. All the photos are here.

Twins' 6th Birthday

We managed to spread this one out, from Meatball Madness at the Club on Wednesday night to our traditional birthday breakfast this morning (Saturday). All the photos are here. BTW, it was 14 degrees and snowing when we got up this morning.

A fishing theme developed earlier when Jonny very accurately described
exactly what toy fishing pole and toy fish he wanted.

A Quilt of Robob's Ties

New project - a few years ago Lynn's dad (Robob), knowing her love of Renaissance art and quilting, bought her some ties with art from the masters and said, "make a quilt." Life got in the way and it never happened. This week, with Serafina's help, Lynn appliqued the cut-up ties onto squares. Now to design a pattern to go around the squares - let the fun begin!...

Compound Seating at the Super Bowl

It was quite a day. "Compound seating" was just installed in the theatre room yesterday in anticipation of today's Super Bowl. After church, the day continued first with Fina making footballs of pound cake and chocolate. Next was make-your-own pizzas, a Compound favorite, then down to the theatre room for the big game. All the pics are here.

A couple of the littles got in on the chocolate football cleanup.
