Avon, CO

The Fosters and the Underwoods spent a week enjoying Avon, CO and neighboring Beaver Creek and Vail. First breakfast stop was Westside Cafe in Vail, home of the amazing bloody mary and Modelito chaser. We went back to Hooked up at Beaver Creek where we repeated a 5-course meal for two from a single fish. Don't miss the view from the rooftop bar at the Westin in Avon. Spent a delightful morning at the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens in Vail. Also in Vail we road up the mountain in the a ski gondola and the girls did a horseback ride at Vail Stables. The last big adventure was a Colorado River rafting trip. We've got to go back to Northside Kitchen in Avon, great little restaurant with amazing wine walls and a selection of California wines that rivals any store in Colorado Springs.
