The 4th

We had a great evening at the Gibs' for the 4th, including horseshoes and fireworks! All the pics are here.

Andy found a 2005 McKeon-Phillips at a garage sale.
Dry cork, it didn't survive. McKeon was our favorite wine up
until they closed in 2012. Would still be today, too, even
with all the great competition.

Cal Poly Canyon and Splash Cafe

We checked off two more Before-We-Move Bucket List items today: Cal Poly Canyon and Splash Cafe. Cal Poly Canyon is a playground of projects by architecture students. And the kids love it. The walk back out was mighty entertaining as well: reciting poems by American poets and portions of the Declaration of Independence and the preamble to the Constitution (it's a SLOCA family), singing the national anthem, and busting out some Hamilton songs and other musical theatre titles. The kids developed a "Count Down to the Move - Bucket List". And today they checked off item one: Bubble Gum Alley in SLO!

This photo showed up in my email this morning from Andrea. The space authority did throw some epic parties. My other favorite movie character to play is Doc Brown.

Happy Father's Day

AJ presented this drawing to me on Father's Day. His Dad got one very similar. I wonder what he wants to do? I'm game!

We had a very nice Father's Morning on Saturday when all hands were on the deck, including the Nipomo Fosters.

One picture is of Gretl and her Director, Zach Johnson, for Sound of Music in 2013 at the SLO Repertory Theatre. The other is of an orphan/thief and her Director for Oliver! last night (2017). Wow, what a ride! Same director, same theatre.
