8th Grade Continuation Ceremony

The Discovery Canyon Campus school family celebrated the 8th grade moving on up to High School today. More pics here. Matteo was part of a similar tradition later in the week, moving up from Elementary to Middle School. His lei was made of dollar bills. Matteo and Serafina both won the Presidential Academic Achievement Award!

The Thunder Tones sang the national anthem and "Fly Away Home."

constructed feature of the campus that runs up the middle of DCC
all the way from pre-school to 12th.

Baseball and Cousins

Despite a pretty cool and blustery evening, the whole clan ventured out to watch AJ's baseball game at Lewis-Palmer Middle School. Armed with Chick-Fil-A, of course. More pics here.

USAF Thunderbirds

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds rehearsed their air show today for Thursday's USAF Academy's graduation ceremony. And Trevor and family were in town for the action! All the photos are here.

"I want a Peppa Pig cake!" Let it be so... At Lexi's request, a fabulous meal of ribs, mashed potatoes, asparagus, watermelon, and Peppa Pig cake.

Apex Fun Run

Today cost Tracy boo-coo bucks. It was the Apex Fun Run at DCC Elementary, a fundraiser for the school, and for individual classrooms as well. All the kids got sponsors (you know, family and friends) for up to 36 laps. Lexi's class went yesterday (missed that for photos) and the rest went today. And it took most of the day, one grade level at a time.

Snow!

It started yesterday afternoon and was still snowing this morning. Our biggest single-day snow of the season, pushing a foot deep. And very wet/heavy. It'll all be gone in a couple days, we hope.

Advanced Choir Concert Spring 2019

Fina's final choir concert of middle school was tonight. And we thoroughly enjoyed it. We expect Fina's group to be good, but the concert was wonderful all around. Couldn't believe the sound they got out of the boys groups! Bravo to all! Program (PDF).
