Bye Bye Birdie

"At last the run has come; the run has come at last," with apologies to Mae. Today's show marks the end of the first weekend of the run! What?! Upon turning the show over to the SLO Little Theatre after the final dress rehearsal, our director Heidi told us to "make every moment of every show count, it'll be over before you know it." She was right. And every moment has been worth remembering. Thanks to Danielle Dutro McNamara Photography for photo-documenting our show (her photos are noted below). And then there are a few selfies, from backstage, where there's another whole show going on... And did I mention cotton candy grapes?!...

The photos get more recent as you scroll down, including shots from closing day.

Lexi Turns One !

So it's party time!

All the pics are here.

Memorial Day Tradition

Breakfast at McClintock's was a significant tradition at the Compound when Robob was here. It was practically mandatory for Memorial Day weekend when he would put on his paratrooper shirt and proudly wear it to breakfast. Not that he would talk much about his experiences, but you could readily tell that his war experience left indelible marks. So, today, we remember. Lots of things.

Legally Blonde Previews Tonight

It's all coming together! And the show previews tonight, opens tomorrow night. Tonight's a bit unique in Compound history. There will be FOUR Compound dwellers actively engaged in the show. Serafina is in it, of course, but in addition, Tracy, Lynn, and I will be moving sets. It's how I "earned" my tech crew shirt for this show. Did you know Tracy and Lynn led the set team from design all the way through?! We're pretty excited...

"No pictures of me"

That's what Matteo reported to Tracy from the free magazine stand in front of Doc Burnstein's in the Village after celebrating the cousins birthdays with ice cream. I looked at Tracy a little inquisitively, and she mentioned that Matteo had been on the cover of Central Coast Family Magazine quite a bit lately. I had no idea. But sure enough, the May 2016 cover. Tracy would not have known but for someone mentioning they thought Tracy was on the cover, but "the kids looked too young." Yup, this shot was taken a few years ago...

Cal Poly Pier

The Cal Poly Pier (near Avila Beach) is only open to the public two Saturday mornings per year. So, Papa Jamie, Matteo, and AJ took advantage of today's Open House.
