Eerie familiarity

They found our new mailboxes. With an eerie familiarity to the ones I pushed over in AG. Those bases bolted to the concrete pad give me the weeby geebies now. Oh dear... BTW, I hear Sandy's a very good traveler.

VBS Setup

This was an odd sort of coming full circle. Among our last activities in CA (for Serafina and Papa) was to help set up VBS at the Methodist church in AG that Nana and Papa started attending in the late 1980s soon after moving to California. We did all manner of such things at that church from puppets, to youth group, to choir, to preschool events. Reguscis, too. One last time... Well, almost the last time. I'll be taking photos of this VBS in action tomorrow night while Serafina's doing Into the Woods. Here's the church website. And here are the pics VBS 2017.

Almost there...

Here's AJ somewhere near Copper Mountain in Colorado. His quote of the day, "This is so awesome I'm putting away my Kindle." OK!

Other Gold

Did you ever notice in that song, "Make new friends, but keep the old...," that they purposefully, I suspect, don't say which is silver and which is gold. The hardest and worst part of setting out on a new adventure is leaving family and friends behind.

Gib-Guscis

Foster Grands (a couple days earlier)

A trip to the beach was among the final bucket list items.

Hamilton (2nd group)

The girls (Nana, Mom, and Fina) got to see Hamilton today in San Francisco. Squeezed it in right before the move. And guess who got an autograph from Hamilton himself (aka Michael Luwoye)?!
