Since Friday... Matt took a gaggle to the park. We got to walk the goats at horse therapy. And there was a heck of a party across the back fence.

No School, Hit the Pool

The three littles had no school today, their testing day is tomorrow. So, while AJ, Matteo, and Fina were in school, Matt, Nana, and Papa took the littles to the pool. And had a great time!

David wanted to take his homework to the pool.
And he finished it there.

Jonnie always spends time setting up his bunk.

They do enjoy card games.

Visitors, and more

Nathan and Ben dropped by on their way from California's Central Coast to Minnesota. Just long enough to whip up dinner and have a great evening. Then there is a favorite toy, a pretzel, patio furniture re-positioning, a completed paint job, and a new quilt project.

The empty bottle has become a favorite toy.

Pretzel!

The patio is starting to return to normal after painting.

The new paint job is complete.

Tracy's Wedding Dress

Fina thought it would be a hoot to try on Tracy's wedding dress. Pretty soon she had Tracy and Nana Lynn all over it. So out it came for the 2nd time in its life. It was extraordinarily fun! Fina stepped right into it, and Tracy came very close, too!

Last seen a couple decades ago.

The packaging did its job.

Arts: Visual, Musical, and Sports

Nana and Papa started off the day by joining Rachel and Heather in Golden, CO to visit the annual Golden Fine Arts Festival there. We started out at a cool little coffee shop called Windy Saddle Cafe (excellent cinnamon rolls), then enjoyed the art show, and finished up with lunch at the Buffalo Rose. Gotta try the sweet potato tots. Though small, the art show really is worth a trip to enjoy; good stuff. As if that wasn't enough for one day, Nana, Papa, Matt, and Matteo went to a concert at the Boot Barn Hall (just down the hill from us!) in the evening. Members of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic provided the music. It was so nice to hear live classical music again! And as if that wasn't enough, after the concert we went across the street to the new TopGolf facility. OMG! Even played for a while (at 11pm!).

Coronavirus jewelry! (They didn't call it that.)

The art show was just behind the park where the school
house is that a great-grandfather went to school.
See all the pics from a day along that creek.

That's a bass trombone far right.
