Snow Buddies

Children's Hospital Colorado lets volunteers build snowmen for their patients who can't get out in the snow themselves. The patient draws a snowman and the picture is sent to the volunteer(s) to actually build the snowman, take a picture of it and the builders, and send the picture back to the patient. A couple weeks after applying, we got our patient's drawing. Last night's snow was the first we've had since receiving the picture, but in the morning the snow turned out to be way too powdery to make a snowman. Lexi and Papa were quite disappointed. That is, until the sun had a chance to work on it. By early afternoon, the snow was packable and Lexi said "let's give it another go!" Coincidentally, Lexi's Mom, Tracy, is a NICU Nurse at Children's here in Colorado Springs.
