Day 305

First full in-school day for everyone (except online Fina, by choice). Lunch at Fuji Mt, love those drunken noodles. All the kids went to the dentist in one fell swoop this afternoon. The littles got cute 2-minute sand timers with Mr. Tooth on both ends. David took on Papa in a game of chess before dinner; he's doing amazingly well (Papa found the game non-trivial), but he lost today's game - keep trying! AJ went over to play in the snow with Livia and a third friend who had built an igloo - small - but still an igloo. Leftover Parry's Pizza for the Reguscis while Lynn made a little salad for Jamie and herself. Fosters started watching a series called Lupin; the jury's still out.

Day 304

In the morning we discovered 3-5 inches of snow on the ground! Due to COVID limitations at the school, TimberCreek Church went to two services starting this Sunday morning, 9:30am and 11am. Since we couldn't do Sunday School as usual, we provided materials for kids going into the service. In the community room where the service was live-streamed, Tracy set up a kids area in the back and hosted those who wanted to color and chat (quietly) during the service. Among the two football games we watched this afternoon, the Cleveland Browns beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in a walloping upset, 48-37. Wow! Cleveland will be partying for months!

Day 303

Pretty steady snow all day. Totally unexpected (no one was following the weather, I guess). Jamie provided tech support for today's Parlor Car Chat on the Swanton Pacific Railroad. The new arcade game is attracting much attention. Matt did yummy hamburgers for dinner. Today's movie: Live Free or Die Hard.

Day 302

A few miscellaneous pics below. Relatively quiet day as all kids were in school in the morning. Nana and Papa visited Ted's Montana Grill for lunch, in-doors! Love their bison meatloaf. Jamie volunteered out at Flying Horse Foundation for the first time in 2021 and quite a few weeks since the last visit in 2020. It was a busy day out there with three groups going strong. We tried to go out to dinner but everything was booked, first weekend after in-door dining was restored. Very happy for the restaurants. So it was take-out from the Club for us.

Day 301

Matteo went off to school. AJ and David did various things: Wingspan, electronics, basketball, etc. with CFA lunch in the midst. Dinner was Stab Night - cheese fondue with bread (fresh baked), broccoli, and hot dogs. The bread was the biggest hit by far. The Idaho crew got home just after dinner time. Tonight's movie: Play for Keeps.

Day 300

Three hundred, think of that, wowie. Matteo arose early for his first day back to school in 2021, mixed the pancake/waffle batter, had one or two, then off for the van. It was just a half day for him, so we all picked him up at the van stop and went to P.F. Chang's for lunch (indoors!). Another hoot. Then some basketball and electronics. Dinner was leftovers. Meanwhile, in Idaho Falls, the Reguscis had lunch at Smokin Fins, among other activities we assume.

Day 299

Today was gorgeous in Colorado Springs. Temperatures into the 50s, but still snow on the ground from over a week ago. The boys got outside for quite a while until the afternoon turned chilly and windy. David went to his first horse PT session today at Stable Strides. Unfortunately, they could not put their hands on his medical release, so no on-horse stuff today, just get-to-know the PT, do some games and challenges, and take a little tour. Nana took on baking French baguettes (with French flour). Big hit at dinner time; AJ particularly could not get enough. Dump cake from yesterday was finished off. Matteo grilled burgers for dinner and Nana added fresh strawberries and whipped cream to the dessert buffet. Given the fresh, out-of-the-oven baguettes, we had to have some real French Champagne, Moutard - very nice! Meanwhile, the rest of the Reguscis were getting to know Idaho Falls.
