Christmas Day

Christmas Day 2022. We also had some visitors throughout the day (not pictured): more of the Kreb family and some co-workers of Tracy's from the NICU. All the photos are here.

Christmas Eve

All afternoon was dedicated to the TimberCreek services. Nana, Tracy, and Fina did coffee, Papa did security, and Matt wrangled the rest. We did all manage to attend the 2nd service except Nana who succumbed to a very nasty cold mid-way through the afternoon (and Christmas Day as it turned out). Four of us (Papa, Tracy, Fina, and Ethan) attended the 11pm Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at First UMC downtown. Full-blown traditional. And we sang several carols from the hymnal in 4-part harmony (most of the time). The message was "We Need the Light."

This sign became part of the fun this year!

Christmas Adam

Nana was lookin' particularly fine this morning so had to pose with a few of the kids. Then she and Papa were off on their own little private Christmas Adam day with stops at Poor Richard's Toys and Restaurant downtown, then over to Manitou to check out The Vault then to Luisa Graff's for the piece de resistance. Then to dinner at Ambli Global Cuisine. Then, as if that wasn't enough, everyone met up at the first of several Christmas light displays around town. The tour was drawn up by our landscaper, Timberline, for the benefit of anyone. The day closed with a stop at Fiz on the way home!

A Few Days Before Christmas

Lots of Christmas goings on... O Tannenbaum... Sand Tarts... German Pancakes... Christmas Movies ("A Christmas Story Christmas" and "I Believe in Santa")... Legos... Puzzles... Santa's Workshop... Gingerbread Houses... Merry Christmas Adam (you know, just before Christmas Eve 😄)! We also did Family Dinner tonight with the topic of The Wise Men (much of which came from Jamie's recent "Torah Talks" lesson, here). And it turned out that blowing a fuse by running two microwave ovens at once was somewhat fortuitous in that we discovered an unrelated little water leak near a hot water heater. Not freezing temperature-related either. It's gotten down to -13F two nights in a row.

Someone was being Grinchy...

Sand Tarts!

Back in the Workshop. Learning to make ribbon twisty!

German pancakes - fam fave!

Add a few drops of lemon juice for a touch of heaven.

Helped a lot with crowd control between events.

A number of kids got into Lego kits.
Matteo built this guitar!

Merry Christmas Adam morning!

Colorado Nutcracker

A handful of Compound folks went to see The Colorado Nutcracker today and ran into a few theater friends from Elevate Productions (Colorado Ballet Society).
