Day 148

I should have been counting puzzles as well as days... Lexi has been bit by the playing cards bug. Today's card game was a matching game. At the pool 5-8pm. The new thing today was "swimmers' whack-a-mole." There was also some dog whack-a-mole earlier.

Day 147

Waffles for breakfast! Miniature golf for fun! A card matching game for more fun! A new cookie source for even more fun. And baseball. AJ walked, scored, and got 2 RBIs with a solid hit to the outfield; very exciting. He got to play 3rd base for the first time, too.

Day 146

It's always fun to see what new home decorations might pop up. Fina made a special birthday package for a friend - who likes green. Jamie was back at the Flying Horse Ranch today after the 3-week COVID precaution ended. D20 school district revised its reopening plans, much to this family's chagrin. Not sure where we're headed on that yet. Dinner was pork tenderloin, asparagus, and garlic bread. And nothing better than a rousing round of "Old Mare" before bed or some time in the evening out on the deck after a rain.

The "dis" pile.

Fina's questions today.

Day 145

Lexi began the day entertaining the baby a bit. He just laughs and laughs. Papa took the boys fishing to Monument Lake. They didn't catch anything, but Matteo made friends with another fisherman who gave him his catch, stringer and all. Matt helped him clean and cook the trout. Jamie did the first session of his "God is Good" course.

Just kidding, this is in Bass Pro where we got some bait.

A Volvo P210 at Monument Lake.
Not sure how rare this is, but I've never seen one.

Day 144

Eww, gross! Anyway... The Fosters arose slowly, gently, and made their way to Buttermilk for breakfast, a new restaurant just down the hill that opened recently where a Japanese restaurant closed not long ago. Nothing fancy, but good breakfast food and full bar. The fried green tomato benedict is pretty yummy. Then off to Sew-in-Tune in Monument for more fabric. Quilters are not really good at sequential; they have to have parallel projects for some reason. Well, similar and fast approaching deadlines force this issue sometimes. The Reguscis and Gibsons (Gibguscis) got a half-day in at the Gaylord facilities (till 2pm) then both families were on their merry way. The Reguscis got home right about dinner time when the Fosters were just finishing up a little rib eye dinner. Tracy turned right around and went to a TimberCreek meeting. The rest of us pretty much coasted, except for Fina who whipped up a very yummy batch of blueberry muffins.

Only a couple border strips to go.

The next quilt.

The Gibguscis over the years.

Fina made blueberry muffins - big hit. Lots of butter.

Day 143

The Reguscis are spending their last full day at the Gaylord Rockies with the Gibsons. Jamie headed off to TimberCreek (he's on the safety team) while Lynn took care of the dogs and continued her quilting marathon. Really good avocado toast for lunch then more quilting and such.  Fosters had a great early dinner at the Club, shrimp cocktail, French onion soup, lavender salmon, and jerked chicken! Jamie's also perfected the blue (now green) drink from Jake and Telly's which we enjoyed in the new Rainbow Courtyard (at home). Tonight's movie was A Simple Favor (actually quite interesting and a different role for Anna Kendrick from Pitch Perfect, you know, the cup song gal).

I think they're Balloon Flowers.

Day 142

Jamie and Lynn's big outing of the day, following Jamie's Parlor Car Chat on the topic of the speeder excursion he did in Colorado in 2017, was to lunch at Jake and Tellys Greek Taverna in Old Colorado City. Really fun and quite authentic! We were inspired to find a Greek place after watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding the other night. Later, the Fosters also enjoyed the adult pool at the club; don't see that very often. The Reguscis continue partying at the Gaylord with the Gibsons.

That's Jake and Telly.
