This actually covers two meals this week. One at Vaqueros and one Friday Family Dinner at home. The first photo is of a puzzle Tracy recently completed that "hung together" exceptionally well. Then Friday Family Dinner featured TV Dinners from Lazy Dog Restaurant and Lexi's chosen recipe for strawberry shortcake. The topic tonight was "Honor your mother and your father."

All ready for dinner at Vaqueros!

That Friday

Later on Friday...

Sandy keeps up with the news.

We actually got a strawberry!

This is what replaced the piano by the theater room.

Pomar Junction Winery - love the name.
Our wine for Friday Family Dinner.

Lazy Dogs and Art

We made two great discoveries today (after a little embroidery in the morning)... Academy Frames and Lazy Dog restaurant. They're right across the street from each other on N. Academy. The former had a special art show going entitled "How we see God." We ended up buying one of the pieces plus a photo essay book of Colorado Springs "now and then." We'll be back. The latter great discovery was the Lazy Dog Restaurant. Great environment, great view, great drinks, great food, great service. We'll be back often.

Imagine That, Wowee

We decided to keep some photos of the plaques rather than the plaques themselves...

Three of us graduated from Chapman University
in the same ceremony in 2004.
This was Lynn's Masters.

Pete Dougall and Jamie did a radio talk show
called the Skeptic Tank in the 1990s.

From the Arroyo Grande Methodist Church.

Jamie spoke at the Santa Maria Men's Club in 2009.

Jamie's third (and final) run at politics.

Lynn's 15-year teaching award.

Kiwanis honors Lynn's teaching career.

One of several grants Lynn brought in over the years.

Pretty Woman

The big event of the weekend was some of us heading into Denver to see Pretty Woman, the Musical. It tracked the movie almost perfectly but with much music and dance thrown in. Fun show! And surrounding that outing was artwork, gaming, deck time, and more...

It took a while to figure out who's who.
Note the "cheek mics" on AJ and Remy center stage...

Turkish Coffee at Heart of Jerusalem Cafe.
A new favorite for Middle Eastern food just down the hill.

At least the dogs kept their eyes open.

Dinner at Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery before the show.

La Tartine - a french bakery/restaurant.
The food was very good; the ambiance was not as exciting.

Tetris has become popular.
